Granada, Nicaragua
The building was originally constructed in 1930, by a prominent Nicaraguan family, however, it was left abandoned in the 60’s, until 2022, when work on Bao Bei began. To respect the heritage of the building, all the original architectural details have been restored and complemented with modern, locally made furniture and abundant local flora.
Bao Bei showcases a blend of traditional colonial architecture and wabi sabi design, creating a harmonious balance between old-world charm and modern comfort. The building features soft colours, intricate wooden details, and open courtyards that invite natural light and fresh air into the space. This thoughtful design not only preserves the historical essence of Granada but also provides a relaxing and aesthetically pleasing environment for guests.
