Sleep in the quirkiest stay at Woodlyn Park. As Waitomo is full of underground caverns, the owner was inspired to build underground with a theme, so the Cave Holiday Motel was developed. Created 2 years after the final Lord of the Rings film was released, these 2 motels are bermed beneath a hill where sheep and a donkey wander for grazing.
For your comfort, the interiors are scaled to regular size so no bending is necessary.
Each unit features a suite with queen bed, living area and kitchenette. There is a separate bedroom with 4 oversized single beds. In total, each motel can sleep up to 6 people making it ideal for visiting families or friends.
There is also a large bathroom with shower and toilet facilities. The kitchenette features an electric hob, refrigerator and microwave allowing you to warm simple meals or have a hearty breakfast. Outside there is a BBQ for your shared usage.
