A private colonial home that has been meticulously restored with a minimalist, wabi sabi aesthetic. The name Bao Bei translates into “treasure” or “baby”, which is precisely what this house means to its owners. The villa features three large bedrooms with private bathrooms. All bedrooms include private balconies, custom fourposter king sized beds with luxurious sheets, central air conditioner, working desks, and designer bathroom fixtures.
In the center of the villa, soaring brick arches surround a travertine courtyard and large private pool. Adjacent to the pool is an outdoor shower, set amongst the palm fronds of the villa’s lush gardens. In the open air portico next to the pool, there’s a sculptural, concrete bar with seating for 6. The perfect place for a cocktails and poolside, moonlit dinners. Culinary enthusiasts will appreciate the large kitchen with its all natural, custom cabinets, polished concrete countertops and a large wooden table with seating for six.
A handcrafted curved staircase leads guests upstairs to the three private guest suites and a large terrace overlooking the city. The upper level also has an exercise area with TRX bands, kettle bells and yoga equipment.
