Cuixmala

Costa Alegre, Mexico

A gem in solitude, only found if guests truly search for it. Nestled along Mexico's pristine Costalegre, Cuixmala beckons those seeking an escape into nature’s grandeur and luxurious serenity. Once the private estate of a billionaire, this unique sanctuary seamlessly blends opulence with the wild beauty of the Pacific Coast. Cuixmala is more than just a place to stay; it is a transformative experience where every moment is infused with the magic of unspoiled nature and sophisticated comfort.

This hidden treasure offers an exquisite range of accommodations, from the grand villas with sweeping ocean views to the charming casitas surrounded by verdant gardens. For those with a spirit of adventure, Cuixmala presents a unique opportunity to explore a side of Mexico few ever see. Whether horseback riding along the untouched coastline, kayaking in the calm lagoons, or simply lounging by the pool with a view of the shimmering Pacific, each activity is designed to create lasting memories. With its commitment to sustainability and conservation, Cuixmala is not just a destination but a steward of the environment, offering an experience that is as enriching for the soul as it is gentle on the planet.

Nestled along 5km of pristine Mexican Pacific Ocean coastline, Cuixmala is situated on a 30,000 acre nature reserve, lying on the costa alegre, in-between manzanillo and puerto vallarta. The private estate, founded by Sir James Goldsmith, is now open as a destination for discerning travellers. The landscape ranges from lush jungle, coconut palm groves and lagoons to sweeping savannah and grass lands. Integrated respectfully into these environments are three distinct types of accommodation offering luxury and privacy, for a total of 40 rooms.
