El Pueblo Mérida reinterprets the traditional Yucatecan casa patio with modern architectural clarity. The structure leans into a low, horizontal composition where encalado (whitewashed) volumes wrap around a central garden courtyard. Deep open galleries filter the tropical light while generating continuous natural cross-breezes, drastically reducing dependence on artificial cooling.
Honest local materials, expressed through regional limestone, smooth natural chukum plaster, and rich native hardwoods left exposed to weather beautifully. Minimalist aesthetics that deliberate spatial restraint featuring clean sight lines, vast openings that blur the line between interior and outdoors, and zero visual noise. Finally, an ecological spine, since the 25-meter natural swimming pool and organic kitchen garden serve as both functional features and the primary design anchors of the property.
