FAQs
How is CAOBA different from Travel Agencies or Tour Operators (OTAs)?
Where is the value of our business?
By eliminating intermediaries, extra fees are reduced, and the booking price decreases while its value increases. Both hoteliers and customers prefer this model, as reservation policies (modification, cancellation, refund) and any additional communication are always handled directly between them. CAOBA simply showcases the properties, without managing prices, cancellations, or property requirements.
Our brand also offers value to hoteliers by providing services that professionalize and enhance their properties, both physically and digitally. These services are available in our CONSULTING section.
What types of bookings do we offer?
CAOBA offers two types of bookings:
- Accommodations without a booking engine or not compatible: In this case, the customer submits a booking request. The hotelier receives an email with the request and, if available, accepts the booking and sends an invoice with a payment link. If not available, the hotelier proposes alternative dates and issues a new invoice with a payment link. The hotelier is responsible for providing additional information and setting the booking policy, which is not managed by CAOBA.
- Accommodations with a booking engine: The customer selects the accommodation, chooses their preferences, and completes the booking directly through the engine. The accommodation then issues a confirmation with booking details. As with the first case, CAOBA does not intervene in the booking policy.
What Sets Us Apart?
At CAOBA, we not only offer direct bookings without intermediaries that increase prices, but also provide consultancy to professionalize and enhance accommodations both physically and online (SEO, ads, marketing). Our brand carefully selects accommodations that align with our value proposition.
We accept unique, luxurious, boutique, affordable, and lodge accommodations, following thorough research by our team, to ensure each adds significant value to our portfolio.
How can I track my reservations?
You can track your reservation using the email you used to make the request or the reservation confirmation.
If you have registered with our brand (user icon in the top-left corner), you can view your reservations (only those made by request) in the 'My Reservations' section. Soon, you will also be able to see reservations made through the Reservation Channel, such as Cloudbeds or Siteminder, in this section.
Please note that CAOBA does not handle reservation policies, as each hotelier manages their own process. For any modifications, please contact your accommodation directly.
How do I earn points with CAOBA?
In the user section (icon in the top left corner), go to 'Loyalty Program.' With each accumulated reservation, you will receive exclusive benefits such as discounts on future bookings with promotional codes, special prices in our online store, and discounts on third-party services (flight tickets, activities, etc.).
Notify us upon completing your reservations in the same section or email us at info@caobahotels.com.
How does the online store work?
Our online store, available at www.store.caobahotels.com, is the only section of CAOBA fully managed by us. Here, you can explore a catalog of exclusive brand products, some in collaboration with our hotel partners.
If you are a member of the Loyalty Program (see the section "How do I earn points with CAOBA?"), you can receive discounts on our products using a promotional code sent via email.
For returns or size exchanges, please contact us at store@caobahotels.com, and we will assist you as soon as possible.
Prices in the store match those found at our properties, as some partners also display our products at their accommodations.
