The architectural design of Mikado Natural Lodge is a masterful expression of Tropical Organic Minimalism. Inspired by the surrounding dry forest and the coastal horizon, the structures embrace clean geometric lines, low-profile silhouettes, and wide-open layouts that seamlessly invite the outdoors in. Using raw, sustainably sourced natural materials, the six independent bungalows are thoughtfully integrated directly into the hillside topography to minimise environmental impact while maximising privacy. The open-air concepts use natural ventilation and expansive glass facade work, capturing panoramic Pacific vistas while honouring the simplicity and authenticity of traditional Costa Rican building philosophies.
