Casa Manire is a space designed to harmonize with nature, inspired by traditional Japanese countryside homes and the Eames' Case Study Houses, where interior design and the surrounding landscape blend organically.
The project faced challenges such as respecting the existing topography and vegetation, as well as training local labor to innovate in architectural solutions, including large-scale windows and column-free roofs.
Key materials include locally sourced Ana Caspi wood, glass, and stone, balancing functionality, aesthetics, and sustainability. Meanwhile, the interiors—featuring neutral colors and organic textures—eliminate visual barriers and seamlessly merge with the surroundings, creating an emotional and visual connection between the house and its landscape.
Sustainable Luxury: Where Elegance and Environmental Responsibility converge
Casa Manire seamlessly blends luxury and sustainability through innovative practices such as using hydropower from a local plant, pure water from its own spring, and a biodigester for wastewater management, minimizing environmental impact.

The Importance of Location: What Makes Casa Manire a Unique and Valuable Place?
Casa Manire is located within Fundo Manire, a family estate with a rich history dating back to 1910, when the Zlatar family arrived from Croatia. The estate thrived in the production of tea, cacao, sugarcane, and cattle, and was also known for its gold-washing sites. Traces of this history can still be found on the property.
The house is strategically positioned overlooking the Manire River and Coperma Mountain, surrounded by breathtaking natural scenery. Every design decision was made to maximize the views, harness natural light, and respect the existing vegetation, creating a unique space deeply connected to its surroundings.
