Ecoterra Inka Lodge

Quillabamba, Peru

Ecoterra Inka Lodge emerges as a magical hideaway in the lush cloud forest of Cusco — a place where nature and tradition intertwine to offer an experience of adventure, rest, and renewal. Nestled between pristine forests, coffee plantations, and the gentle sound of streams and waterfalls, the lodge seems to rise organically from the greenery, as if embraced by the jungle itself. Perched high in the Garabito Valley, near the Chuyapi River and untouched watersheds, every corner of Ecoterra Inka radiates calm, wonder, and a deep respect for its natural surroundings.

Its story begins with the historic Potrero Hacienda, once a vast property that spanned many hectares of forest and diverse ecosystems. Over time, logging left its mark on the upper valley, interrupting the natural regeneration of native species. Ecoterra Inka Lodge stands as a conscious response to that past — a project deeply committed to ecological restoration, conservation, sustainability, and raw, unspoiled beauty.

Every day, the lodge puts its environmental philosophy into action: reforesting native species, minimizing its footprint through thoughtful design and construction, reusing materials, managing waste responsibly, protecting water sources, and ensuring that no trees are cut down for its development. Staying at Ecoterra Inka is far more than a night’s rest — it is a mindful immersion, an invitation to live in harmony with the forest, breathe in its freshness, listen to its symphony, leave behind the rush of daily life, and reconnect with what truly matters.

Upcycle

Ecoterra Inka Lodge blends rustic upcycled architecture with traditional country-house inspiration, perfectly adapted to the cloud forest environment. Locally sourced and reclaimed materials are prioritized, with rooflines that blend into the treetops, social areas designed to maximize sweeping forest views, and interiors that feature natural textures — wood, stone, and handcrafted textiles — to create a seamless transition between the indoors and outdoors. The construction disturbs the land as little as possible, preserving existing trees, avoiding unnecessary clearing, and respecting the natural contours of the terrain.
