Traditional Coffee Architecture
The hotel’s architecture is a direct tribute to the colonial and colonisation era heritage that defines the Quindío region. Built according to the timeless canons of traditional coffee architecture (arquitectura tradicional cafetera), the design features expansive wrap-around corridors that dissolve the boundary between the cozy interiors and the lush, vibrant gardens. The masterful use of local hardwoods and guadua (the Andean "steel bamboo"), paired with classic clay-tiled roofs and vibrantly painted wooden railings, honours the historic building techniques that have sheltered generations. This spatial layout not only keeps the interiors naturally cool but also ensures perfect cross-ventilation and uninterrupted panoramic views of the Andean landscape.
